13th May 2024 – Visit of Croatian Consul at the European School of Varese

On May 13, 2024, an official reception and visit to the European School in Varese were held by The Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Milano , Mr. Stjepan Ribić, who was hosted by the School Director, Ms Ariane Farinelle, with detailed presentation of the Euripean school of Varese, their results and future aims and educational outcomes. The primary school was showcased by the Deputy Director, Mrs. Antonella Selvaggio, while the secondary school was welcomed and presented by Mr. Jens Steinbach, the assistant to the Deputy Director Ms. Elizabeth Mc Donald.

As part of the visit by the delegation from the Croatian consulate in Milan, which included Mrs. Gordana Biljetina alongside the Consul General, two Croatians, Professor Zdravka Grđan, a pedagogical advisor in secondary school, and Professor Vesna Hasan from primary school, presented school practice, infrastructure and the professional educational aspect of the European educational system. The Consul General familiarized himself with all the specifics of this multilingual and multicultural European school, which also opens its doors to students interested in learning the Croatian language.

“Andolfatto” trophy

On 11 November 2022, the 23rd edition of the ‘Andolfatto’ trophy, a 1000-metre relay race for middle schools in the province of Varese, took place in Arcisate. This year 21 schools participated, and attached you can find all the results, which are also displayed at the entrance to the gymnasium.
