School Voucher is a means of support for the right to study which accompanies the educational path of children aged 6 to 18 years, resident in the territory of the region of Lombardy.
It is available to the students of state schools and other recognized schools and to students who attend three-year vocational training courses.
It guarantees a freedom of choice for families and the right to study for everyone.
It provides contributions to reward for merit and excellence and for alleviating the additional costs incurred by disabled students.
The contribution accompanies the student along the study path and includes:
Remaining in the educational system: an income support for students with less financial means.
Merit: a recognition awarded to deserving and capable students, without financial means.
Disabilities: support for promoting a personalized training in school. For a student with a medical certificate, the family may receive an extra contribution to cover expenses connected to support teaching. This part of the School Voucher is available to all handicapped students regardless of the income.
In addition, the region promotes other actions and support towards the inclusion in education and vocational training of disabled people, aimed at the work world.
School vouchers: support towards freedom of choice for anyone who attends a school.
