Information for CAT. 3 families Covid-19
The Board of Governors approved by written procedure the document ref. 2021-01-D-24-en-2 Category III School fee reductions linked to the COVID19 pandemic.
The COVID19 pandemic is having a number of impacts on the normal functioning of our society. In the case of the European Schools, distance teaching and learning was introduced in spring 2020 in all schools and has been the only vehicle for teaching and learning activities for months.
In this context reductions in school fees can be considered in cases where parents can objectively demonstrate a link between their economic difficulties and the COVID19 pandemic and where their annual income in 2020 is below the minimum threshold for regular reductions in school fees: for the 2019/2020 school year, this annual income must be less than 18.872 € (+ 1.830 € for each dependent child) and for the 2020/2021 school year, it must be less than 19.059 € (+ 1.848 € for each dependent child).
Upon request, the reductions can be applied retroactively to the 2019/2020 school year, and for the 2020/2021 school year.
The application for the 2019/2020 school fees reduction can be submitted exclusively filling in the form downloadable from this link https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/bh4Tmyfa88fMrYcF8WLGus71f and attaching the required documents no later than 31/03/2021.
