The European Day of Languages

The European Day of Languages has been celebrated by the school community of the European School Varese, in a special way, with two important events.

A videoconference meeting with Sabine Verheyen, president of the European Parliament Commission for Culture and Education (CULT), which has involved the entire school community: primary and secondary students, teachers, management and parents. The videoconference on the theme linguistic and cultural diversity: a treasure of the European Union took place on 28th September, from 14.00 to 16.00.

During the day, the head of the European Parliament Office in Milan, Maurizio Molinari, met pupils of the P5 and students of the Secondary School to discuss about the Conference on the future of the European Union, an important project promoted by the European Institutions.

These events are part of the series of activities that, since last May, the European School has been organizing in collaboration with the European Parliament Office in Milan to educate new generations of aware European citizens.
